They say marriage is the journey of a lifetime but Priyanka and Nishith prove that marriage is indeed an adventure, both literally and figuratively! The couple did what many of us thought was not possible and what the rest of us dream of. While we all dream of flying to London, they drove to the city. From where you ask? From Bangalore! Yes, you read that right. The two of them went on a 55-day road trip from Bangalore to London, across 18 Asian and European countries, in their Renault Duster to finally land in one of the most magnificent cities of the world!
Nishith revealed that it was actually a childhood dream that manifested in the form of their trip. “I used to tell my mom that I’d drive to London when I was a little boy. Years later, my mom reminded me of my dream and by then, I was married and that’s when Priyanka and I decided to go on the trip.” They drove from Bangalore all the way to the Northeast, to Myanmar, Thailand, Central Asian countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, went to Russia then explored East Europe, and after driving through Germany, Poland, Belgium, and France, reached London. They traveled across 18 countries during the entire trip. 
Beyond London: The Road Trip Aficionados
Having embarked on the epic Bangalore-London trip in 2017, Priyanka and Nishith have been quite popular. Since they set #travelgoals and #couplegoals for almost everyone, their trip is very popular. Although that’s a milestone in itself, their travel dreams didn’t stop the moment they reached London. The two of them have traveled a lot more, within India, embarked on incredible journeys, driven across some of the most spectacular routes in India!
The couple loves embarking on marathon drives, wherein they drive long distances in a short span of time. Their longest one has been a drive from Bangalore to Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, and back to Bangalore, which is 1600 km, in just 22 hours! They love driving along the Western Ghats but their favourite remains driving to Leh, which they feel is absolutely incredible. As you read this, they’re preparing for a road trip from Bangalore to Mumbai which they will undertake in a few days.
When asked about their views on being able to rent cars for a holiday, Nishith says, “It’s great that there are so many options to choose from today, when it comes to renting cars. I need a car every day so I own one but for those who do not want to incur maintenance costs but still want to enjoy driving a good car, this is the best time for those.” 
Spontaneity on road trips:
Over the years, Nishith and Priyanka have embraced spontaneity. “Doing things without anticipation gives you a thrill like no other. While it’s important to be prepared, research road conditions, being flexible goes a long way. We’re the kind of travellers who might not be deterred by bad roads or traffic jams even. Exploring, going on uncharted territory and discovering something new is what matters.”
They’ve set records for their travels but what Priyanka and Nishith should be remembered for is their indomitable spirit. At the core, these two travel for travel sake and love the road. And that love for the road is what brings them back, each time.
